I often receive emails asking about the research pathfinders I create as part of the collaborative process. Check out the video tour of a new research guide I’ve created and the information sources I’ve incorporated into this guide created using LibGuides.
Touring an Unquiet Library Research Pathfinder

Your pathfinder looks great. How do you encourage your students to use these resources rather than them just ‘Googling it’.

Good morning! Thank you for the kind words!
I work with the teacher to do two things:
A. we always have a mini-lesson to introduce the pathfinder to the students
B. we work with the teacher to develop a rubric that is flexible but requires students to use a certain number of resources from the pathfinder.
Let me know if you need more details or additional info!
Best,
Buffy

Hi! This year I created pathfinders for some of the classes that I’ve worked with and it’s been great! It’s great to watch the students start off their research with the resources that I’ve put together for them. The teachers really appreciated having the information in one place for their students.
Thank you for sharing your ideas & information because it helps me learn new ways to improve what I do for my teachers & students.
